Jengraimukh College, Majuli, In pursuance of the DHE’s Letter No. DHE/CE/Misc/113/ 2020/15 dated Kahilipara, the 03.08.2020 (For Science Stream Posts) applications in DHE’s prescribed format (may be downloaded from the college website www.jengraimukhcollege.org) along with complete bio data and all testimonials from H.S.L.C. onwards are hereby re-invited for filling up the following sanctioned posts of Assistant Professor:-
1. Botany (2nos):-
i. RP-29 EWS
ii. RP-30 ST(H)
2. Zoology (1 no):-
i. RP-34 UR-PWD
Educational Qualification and selection procedure:
Educational Qualification and selection procedure for Assistant Professor will be as per Govt. Office Memorandum No. AHE-407/2017/44 dated 08/11/2018 with NET/ SLET/SET as mandatory eligible conditions. Candidates having Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC (minimum standards and procedures for award of Ph.D. Degree) regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/ SET. The candidates must have 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the masters degree level in the concerned subject. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to the Ph.D. holders who have obtain their master degree prior to 19th September 1991. The candidates has to acquire qualification as on the last date of submitting applications. Eligibility like – M.Phill/ Ph.D./ Seminar Papers/ Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of interview and not beyond.
Age of the candidates:
should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years as on 01/01/2020 with upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates and 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates respectively.
How to Apply:
For application guideline in details applicants are requested to go through to the prior advertisement published on “The Assam Tribune” dated 17.08.2020. Along with relevant documents candidates should submit Demand Draft of Rs. 2500/- (non- refundable) in favour of Principal, Jengraimukh College, payable at UCO Bank, Jengrai Branch, Majuli within 15 days from the publication of this advertisement. Candidates must have Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) and must know local language. In service candidates must apply through proper channel with NOC obtained from the concerned authority.
Applications belonging to PWD & EWS category must submit Certificate from competent authority in the format prescribed by the Govt. of Assam.
Incomplete application will be summarily rejected. No excuse of postal delay will be accepted.
The following points are to be noted-
i. Read as EWS (Economically Weaker Section) in place of unreserved.
ii. The person belonging to EWS’s are not covered under the scheme of reservation of SC, ST and OBC’s and whose family has gross annual income below 8.00 lakhs only are to be identified as EWS’s for benefit of reservation and must submit as annual family income certificate. Thus SC’s, ST’s and OBC/ MOBC’s are not eligible for this post.
iii. Applications belonging to UR-PWD category also must submit certificate from competent authority in the prescribed format as per Govt. of Assam. Preference will be given to PWD category.
